You start by choosing a domain name and opening an account with a company to host your website. Avoid the cheap or "free" accounts as these tend to be deemed unimportant and are not always indexed by the engines for various reasons. This tutorial begins with the META tags. Insert the < before the tags and insert the /> after closing your tags.
Title> "Your title goes here" The title tag is the most important tag that is used in the optimization process. META NAME="description" CONTENT="Your information here"> The description tag is the second most important tag used. Write two or three sentences about your products using your keyword phrases no more than twice. Some search engines will show all your description, others will show a percentage.
META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="Your keywords here"> Only one or two search engines use the keyword tag because it has been abused so much in the past. It is still worth using, so place your keyword phrases in the tag and repeat each phrase no more than three times.
This process should be carried out on all your important pages because all the pages with content related to your products can be an entry page through the search engines. So, use the meta tags with information in the tags relating to the content of that particular page.
The text content on your important pages should contain no less than 250 words relating to your business and products. The search engines only read text and links so use text links for your navigation system. If you would rather use image links do so, but still place your text links somewhere on your main page, or on a sitemap that is linked from your main page.

Make sure you use the ALT tag within the image tag and keep the images on your main page to a minimum. The information within the ALT tag should if possible contain your important keywords.
The search engines place some importance on other sites that link to yours. A site that links to your site is viewed as a good vote for your site. So, make the most of optimizing your site by creating a links page and exchange links with websites that have content related to yours, but steer well clear of "link farms". Link farms are websites whose sole purpose is for websites to exchange links.
Finally, submit your site to all the major search engines and directories. If you can submit through paid inclusion do so as this will get your site indexed within a week, free submission can take months. DUPLICATED CONTENT and GOOGLE - Article of Positioning in Finders

Pages and until whole sites have been duplicated to improve their positions in Google, increasing the size of his webs, the amount of key words by which they compete and sometimes monopolizing all the positions of front page of results. Until now.
In the last weeks many have been observed webmasters to complain which their positions, by which they had worked as much in obtaining, had disappeared completely. In addition, they noticed that paying attention if the pages were indexed by Google (looking for site:www.midominio.com) the same ones they appeared, but without title nor description.
After much discussion one was that many of those sites webs, apparently penalized, had duplicated pages, duplicated complete sections or until they were webs duplicated of another original Web. That was the common factor between all of them.
Let us begin to try to understand what is a page or a duplicated Web. In little scientific terms, a duplicated page is that that has been copied (or he is very similar) to another one, which can be acceded from a different URL.
Now, we see the reasons for which our Web site could be filtered: · Our whole Web it is a copy of another Web (as much if it is of your property like not). This can entail the penalty of our whole Web. · A whole section (with a high number of pages in comparison of the total of the Web) is a copy of another Web (as much if it is of your property like not). This can entail the penalty of our whole Web or that section in individual. · A page is a copy of another page of another Web (as much if it is of your property like not). This can entail the penalty of that page in individual.

The difference between Hits, Pages Views and Unique Visitors:
HITS: Each of the files that comprise your Web page must be loaded from your Web host's computer server each time someone comes to your Web page. And each file load is a 'hit' so...
Each graphic on your page is a separate file that must be loaded. The HTML code file that is used to create your Web page on your visitors' computers must also be loaded from your host's server. This means: 20 graphics on your Web page, that would represent 21 Hits (20 for the graphic files and 1 for the HTML code file). This means 21 'hits' for each viewer of that one page, not 21 viewers.
Translation: hits are not the way to measure your page or site's popularity.
PAGE VIEWS: Each time a visitor goes to one of your pages it is counted as a Page View. If the same person leaves that page and comes back a few minutes later, he would be counted as another page view.
If the same person comes back to your page 50 times, it would be counted as 50 Page Views.
Translation: you can't use Page Views to gather information on how many visitors are coming to your Web site.
UNIQUE VISITORS: When a visitor comes to your home page, they are considered a Unique Visitor to that page. If they leave your home page and then return to your home page a few minutes later, they are not considered a new visitor, they are not counted again.
*However, if they leave for 2-3 hours, and come back again, they will be counted as another Unique Visitor.*
This is the most accurate representation as to how many visitors you are getting to your Web site (and the individual pages on your site).
Translation: make sure your webmaster, host or other service is providing you with information on Unique Visitors for the best information on numbers of visitors to your site.
